Summer Reading!

Join us on Wednesday, June 25th to kick off another season of summer reading. Children ages 5-14 are invited to join us for crafts and other activities at 2pm to get you excited for this year's science theme! Talk to Miss Diana in the children's room to sign up and get more information.

In addition, adults are welcome to join us at 5pm to kick off our inaugural year of adult summer reading programs. This year's theme is "Read the Book, See the Movie". Stop by to discuss George Orwell's 1984! Ask Jessica upstairs for more information.

New: Gaming Group!

Recently added to our adult programming is a group for board game enthusiasts. Come by the first and third Thursday of the month, 5:30-9:30pm, and get your game on. We have a large selection of games to choose from, or you can bring your own to add to the mix!

Curious about what games we've got to offer? Take a look at our Board Game Geek account.

Peace Book Workshop

Come to a picture book making workshop with illustrator Cathren Housley. Ms. Housley previously came to our library in May for a very successful event, and is excited to return to Central Falls. Creations will be featured in an upcoming exhibit at Studio Z. With parents' permission, children will have an opportunity to be recorded talking about their books.

When: December 3rd, 3:30-5
Age Group: Grades 3 and up

Next week is Halloween and we have TWO parties for you! On Tuesday, stop by the library between 3 and 5 for a fun, all-ages party. There will be crafts, treats, a movie, and plenty more. Costumes are encouraged!

Then on Thursday, the city of Central Falls is hosting a Halloween party in Jenks Park that we will be helping out at. The party is from 4 to 8pm, check out the city's website for more information. The library will be closing at 4pm that day so we can head over to the park, so we hope to see you there instead!
