Donate Food at your Library

The library now serves as an ongoing drop-off location for the Central Falls Food Pantry at Progreso Latino! Help your neighbors by leaving non-perishable food items in our collection bin conveniently located near the front desk of the library. If you are a Central Falls resident in need of an emergency supply of food, contact the pantry at 401-728-5920 Ext. 324.

Organic Gardening Workshop

Wednesday, May 10, 6pm - 7pm

Growing vegetables organically in your yard or community garden plot is easy! The Southside Community Land Trust conducts a workshop in the library auditorium for people with little or no gardening experience. It will cover the basics of organic gardening.  The workshop is free but registration is appreciated.

Plots are still available in the library's community garden. Reserve your plot by calling 401-727-7440.

Jewelry Workshop

Tuesday, May 9, 3pm
Come and work on a jewelry project of your choosing, for yourself or for a Mother's Day gift. We'll provide you supplies for any one of the following: dangle earrings, stretchy bracelets or necklaces, bracelets or necklaces strung on wire with a simple clasp, or a necklace or rosary made from rosary chain. For all ages.

Reserve a Plot in our Community Garden

We have eight garden plots available to the public. Sign up for your plot and grow your own organic vegetables all summer. Call 401-727-7440 to reserve yours. The Spring Kickoff begins on Saturday, April 29 from 10 am - noon. We will start seeds in the library solarium rain or shine.

Spring Fling

Come meet adorable baby chicks from Casey Farm and then come to the Spring Fling party in the Children's Room and read with Maggie too. There will be a scavenger hunt, egg rolling and an egg and spoon race as well as a bunny hop race. Guess how many mini chocolate eggs are in the jar and win the jar of chocolate eggs. Enter one of the raffles. Play bingo or do a craft with us. Maggie will be bringing her Spring basket of books. Read one of those books with her and you will take that book home with you.
