National Novel Writing Month

It's that time of year again when aspiring writers throw caution to the wind. Join us for NaNoWriMo, in which everyone writes a 50,000 word story in the 30 days of November! (For those under 17, check out the Young Writers Program where you can set your own goal.) We'll be holding group writing sessions Tuesdays at 3:30 during November (with a possibility of them continuing after NaNoWriMo ends). Everyone is welcome to attend, even if you've never written a page of fiction in your life. These group writing sessions are a great way to find encouragement, bounce ideas off of other writers, and have fun.

Miss Diana and Miss Christine will be attempting NaNoWriMo this year, as well as some of our intrepid volunteers. Feel free to ask them more about this month-long event!

October News and Events

Check out what's happening in the upcoming month with our newsletter! Click through to read.

New: Monthly Newsletter!

We now have an e-newsletter that gets sent out once a month. Inside each volume, you'll find information on upcoming events at the library. We've got a lot going on, and we'd hate for you to miss any of it. Sign up with your email address in the sidebar today!

Books are Wings

Books are Wings is a non-profit that promotes literacy in the communities of Rhode Island. On October 5th, they will be coming to Adams Memorial Library to give free books to the children of Central Falls. Stop by between 12 and 3pm to share the joy of books with the children in your life!

Fall Changes!

With the start of school, we're now open on Saturdays again! For everyone who's busy during the week, you can now come in between 10am and 3pm on Saturdays until further notice. Our weekday hours still remain the same, 11am to 6pm. We look forward to seeing you!

For our teen patrons, Anime and Manga Club starts up today! Meetings will be held the first and third Tuesdays of the month. We're very excited about this bit of programming and can't wait to share some of our favorites with you! Stop by on Tuesdays or ask Miss Christine about more information!

What additional programming would you like to see? We're always open to suggestions!
