Build a Recycled Bird Feeder or Birdhouse

Tuesday, June 20, 2:30pm - 4:30pm

We're going to build a better world, one small reduce-reuse-recycle step at a time, so come build a bird feeder or birdhouse out of juice or milk cartons and other recycled materials! Make it look like a bird, or a fairy hut, or wherever your imaginations take you! Lots of free crafting materials will be provided so you can personalize it.

Register for Parenting Classes

Tuesdays, June 13 - July 25, 10am-12pm

Parenting classes presented by Boys Town are available at no cost to parents and caregivers with children 0-18 years of age in the library auditorium. 

A light meal will be provided. Three lucky parents will be awarded a gift card! Details will be explained on the first day. Kids will have fun activities provided to them. 

Does your child have a hard time accepting "no" for an answer? Does your child ask "why?" when you asked to do something? Is time-out just not working? We can help!

Container Gardening Workshop

 
Wednesday, Jun. 7, 6:00 PM

Participants will learn the basics of container gardening, including:

  • Container types and placement
  • What grows well in containers
  • How to properly feed confined plants
  • Maintaining proper drainage

The workshop is presented by the Southside Community Land Trust in the library auditorium.
