Creative Collage

Collage, the cutting and remixing of imagery to create your own unique artwork, is a versatile technique for self-expression. We will provide you with all the materials to create your own work of collage art! All ages are invited to attend in the library auditorium.

Donate Food at your Library

The library now serves as an ongoing drop-off location for the Central Falls Food Pantry at Progreso Latino! Help your neighbors by leaving non-perishable food items in our collection bin conveniently located near the front desk of the library. If you are a Central Falls resident in need of an emergency supply of food, contact the pantry at 401-728-5920 Ext. 324.

Organic Gardening Workshop

Wednesday, May 10, 6pm - 7pm

Growing vegetables organically in your yard or community garden plot is easy! The Southside Community Land Trust conducts a workshop in the library auditorium for people with little or no gardening experience. It will cover the basics of organic gardening.  The workshop is free but registration is appreciated.

Plots are still available in the library's community garden. Reserve your plot by calling 401-727-7440.

Jewelry Workshop

Tuesday, May 9, 3pm
Come and work on a jewelry project of your choosing, for yourself or for a Mother's Day gift. We'll provide you supplies for any one of the following: dangle earrings, stretchy bracelets or necklaces, bracelets or necklaces strung on wire with a simple clasp, or a necklace or rosary made from rosary chain. For all ages.

Reserve a Plot in our Community Garden

 

We have eight garden plots available to the public. Sign up for your plot and grow your own organic vegetables all summer. Call 401-727-7440 to reserve yours. The Spring Kickoff begins on Saturday, April 29 from 10 am - noon. We will start seeds in the library solarium rain or shine.
