A film about the Narragansett Salt Pond Preserve. In the 1980's archaeologists unearthed the remains of New England's only undisturbed Pre-Contact Period (1100 - 1400 AD) Native American coastal village. The land was on a pond where the Narragansett Tribe located their origin story. A thirty year battle between the rights of property ownership and the social and cultural importance of preserving one of the most important archaeological sites on the east coast of the U.S. ensued. Woven in Time is the story of the site and battle. Filmmaker Marc Leavitt spent almost two years interviewing those involved to make this film.
