Advanced Summer Reading Rules

We hope you're enjoying the books you've started on for summer reading so far! As we've told you, the basic rule is to read 7 books by August 15th and you'll win a free book. But did you know that there are advanced rules? If you read a book in each group of genres listed below, you'll win a ticket for a special event after Summer Reading ends! Only children who read these genres will be able to attend, so make sure to check out the genres!

Group One:

  • Mystery
  • Adventure

Group Two:

  • Science Fiction
  • Fantasy
  • Horror

Group Three:

  • Historical Fiction
  • Realistic Fiction
  • Poetry

Group Four:

  • Non-Fiction
  • Biography

Group Five:

  • Graphic Novels

Remember that you can come in and discuss the books you're reading, and find your next book, with other children every Tuesday at 2pm!
